    • Acropolis - Situated on a hill overlooking Athens city is the Acropolis, one of the most popular archeological sights in Athens which houses the Parthenon. Its best to visit early morning to avoid crowds. There is also a small museum in the Acropolis Area.

    • Odeon of Herodes Atticus and Portica of Eumenes.

    • Theatre of Dionyssos.

    • Areopagus (Tribunal).

    • Hill of the Pnyx.

    • Monument of Philopappos

    • Hill of Musses.

    • Temple of Olympian Zeus - 15 Columns are all that remain of what once was the largest temple in Greece.

    • Arch of Hadrian - was built in the 2nd century BC by the Roman Emperor Hadrian to mark the boundary between the ancient city of Theseus and the new city built by Hadrian.

    • Monument of Lysiacrates

    • Stadium - The Panathenaic Olympic Stadium held the first modern Olympics in 1896.

  • Shops at the Markets of Monastiraki
    Whether you're interested in shopping or not its worth taking a walk through the streets of Monistaraki, the flea markets of Monistaraki have a variety of shops including some craft shops where you can see men making the Traditional Musical Instrument of Greece, the 'Bouzouki'. On the Edge of Monistiraki there are many take away outlets and cafes serving some of the best Kebabs in Athens...

  • Enjoy the Traditional Taverns and Ouzeries of Medieval Plaka.
    Plaka is a popular area during the day and evenings. It becomes fairly busy in the evenings with many locals and visitors enjoying its Restaurants, Cafe's and Bars spread out amongst the pedestrian streets of the Plaka Area.

  • Visit Syntagma Square.
    The Greek Parliament building is situated here. You can watch the changing of the Guards (Dress in Traditional Clothing) every hour on the hour.

  • Shop at the Boutiques of Kolonaki
    Kolonaki area is on the foothill of Lycabettus Hill, the area has a few designer boutiques as well as many cafe's, bars and restaurants. Its a popular night spot especially with students that study in the area.

  • Visit Glyfada
    Glyfada is a more touristy Seaside scene, there are many restaurants, bars and clubs.  If your into the Club scene its one of the most popular clubbing areas in Athens during the summer time as they are at their busiest.

  • Take a day trip Cruise to a few local islands from Piraeus Port.
    Cruises can be booked from most hotels and travel agents in the City with transfers to and from Piraeus included. However it is also possible to buy some ferry tickets at the Cruise companies office at the Port.

  • Take a Trip to the Corinth Canal or spend the evening at Loutraki Casino, see Corinth
